9 week ultrasound

We had our first ultrasound today. It was just wonderful! The baby's heartbeat was 185. Surprisingly, you can actually make out a good bit. Still feeling quite sick but I know it will be worth it!

Wedding Day and Honeymoon!

Kyle and I got married at Ocean Isle Beach on 9-10-11. It was amazing, it was sunny, Aaron did a great job with the music, Kyle's mom made a beautiful cake, and Aunt Margaret rocked the table decorations and flower arrangements. The Isles restaurant catered the event and everything was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting than the beach. Then we went on our honeymoon and that really topped the cake! It was sunny and no hurricanes...We went on a 7 day Caribbean cruise that had four ports of call: Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, St Thomas in the Virgin Islands, San Juan Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk in the Turk and Caicos islands. It was amazing. We did tours of the islands, went snorkeling, swam in the crystal clear waters, and did a tour of El morro in San Juan. It was great!

Biloxi, MS and New Orleans, LA trip

Kyle and I drove down last Saturday (the 29th of July) to visit Kari and Kyle in their home at Kessler Air Force base. We are leaving Wednesday to go back to Gastonia. While down we visited the Hard Rock casino, the beach, and Kyle and I also went to New Orleans. In New Orleans we went to the WWII museum and visited the French quarters where we walked down Bourbon street, had lunch, and saw Jackson's square. Here are some pictures of the visit.

House Update and Beach Trip

Kyle and I went to the beach with the group, leaving on Saturday and coming back Wednesday. Kim, Justin, Kyle, and I rode togeather. Lindy, Brian, and Addisyn pulled up just after we arrived. We had a fun time! My favorite attraction we visited was the Bodie Island lighthouse. It was much larger than I had imagined it would be. I enjoyed spending time with Addisyn and Cayden and getting to see everybody. Here are some pics.

Sorry it has been so long since my last blog. Since that one we sold the Mt Holly house thus completing our first real house flip! We moved into a smaller house in Gastonia, and now, after about 4 months of hard work, it is finally just about finished on the inside. We plan to stay in this house while we flip others, rather than having to live in them while the repairs are underway. We bought another jet ski, this one 1000 ccs, and we are selling the slow one. We are going to be flying over the water on the lake this summer! The new job at BB&T wasn't going so well, so I decided to make a change and go into Real Estate! Now I work for the Buddy Harper Team at Remax A One Real Estate in Belmont, NC. I have only two classes left at UNCC and I will have a masters degree in December and then I hope to be able to teach part time at a community college.

Ok, so I got a new position at BB&T where I will be moving to the East branch in front of target and have my own office! It is the bilingual branch so watch out amigos! Kyle and I are putting the house on the market tomorrow. I wanted to post a few more pics of the inside in progress and all finished up, but I have not taken a picture of the finished outside yet. It looks so good! (I hope to post one of the outside soon though...but then you know how I am.)

The Renovations continue...

Well there isn't too much else going on, so here are the newest construction pics. The first ones are the bathroom Kyle added to the house. The next ones are of the bathroom that he gutted and is now redoing. It's been a longer process than we thought, but it is turning out so beautiful. Well, Kyle got the boat running about a month ago, so we have been going to the lake on Sundays. It is nice to take one day off a week and have some fun. Anytime anyone visits and wants to take out the boat or the jet ski's, give us a call. I bought some little kid life jackets so we are ready to bring out the family! Hope everyone is doing well. I will post again a little sooner next time.

So I am halfway through this real estate licensing class. I have to take 75 classroom hours and then pass the State test to become a provisional broker. I just want to be able to save us money as we flip houses and find better deals too! I'm still going to finish my Masters degree with less than a year to go! Well, here are some pictures of our fabulously completed kitchen. Notice the hanging lights, the tile backsplash, new white appliances (except the older fridge), the new cabinets, the ceramic tile floor, and the white cast iron special order sink! All done for about $4000 (and a month of Kyle's hard work of course)! We also added a beautiful and large back porch but my camera batteries have died so Icould not get a picture of that on here yet. We have a ways to go but have now started on the demo of a fireplace where the new living room will be. It is going to be amazing!

First are some pictures from Busch Gardens. Then there are some of Kyle and Aaron fishing at the Beach. Both of them caught a catfish, but did not have any further luck. We had a great time with Aaron and Kathy. Their place was so nice and they are very hospitable. Busch gardens was fun and Fort Myers is beautiful. With the exception of about 100 sand flea bites that I got while there, I had the best time! Can't wait to visit again.

Home Improvement Progress

Above are some pictures as the kitchen was before, when we first moved in.

Below are some pics of the kitchen as we remodel it. Kyle moved a new entryway into what will be the living room and closed off two other doors. He made the entryways into the kitchen archways so it is fancy. It was a lot of extra work but it looks beautiful and it payed off. He removed all the old dingy cabinets and we have just finished staining and painting the new ones with clear shine. Counter tops and tile floor is next! These are pics of the progress.

Construction Zone

Saw dust and drywall dust cover just about every inch of our house. It is amazing how far and fast that stuff travels. Our house could be called a construction zone. Renovations are coming along nicely, and our house is going to look great when we are finished. When we are done I will post before and after pictures.

Anyways, we are heading down to visit Aaron in Florida soon. We are looking forward to a nice vacation and visit.

We have moved into the new house and construction is coming along. I am still working on my Master's degree and will be done next spring. As for Kyle, he is about to take the General Contracting test. We will update again soon!

Halloween

Here are a few pics from Halloween. We went to the Gravedigger's Ball and saw The Backstreet Boys! We decided to go with a Wisard of Oz theme. Here is Kim, as the scarecrow, me as tin woman, and Kyle as the tin man. It was a great time! Also here is a picture I thought was adorable of Lindy, Brain, and Addisyn.

Miami pics

WAY BACK in July we went to miami. Here are some pics of the group. It was a fun trip but everything in Miami was expensive! But thats just the price you pay for clear blue water and white sandy beaches!

The first pics are of the hotel we stayed in. It was on the bay but not on the beach. It had a huge pool and a beautiful veiw of the bay. I wish it had been on the beach though because it took 25 minutes in the hot miami sun to walk to the beach!

Baltimore/Washington trip April 09

So I have finally started a blog for Kyle and I! Here are some pics of us from our trip to Baltimore back in April. Kyle is the most amazing guy. If you havent' had the opportunity to meet him yet, its coming soon, because he is coming to the family reunion in August!

In these pics we went to the aquarium in Baltimore and to Washington DC. We stayed with Jackie, Conner, and Noah in their lovely Baltimore home. It was a short but great trip!
